It is time to begin to plan for a new year. A couple of years ago, we added a significant number of drumming students and had to remake our program to help grow them into the organization. This year we will follow a similar plan to bring up the new pipers that have started up with the band. In total, we have eight new piping students at various levels who may be ready to go out on the street with us this summer! That more than doubles our ranks in the pipe section!! Lets all do what we can to make them feel welcome and help them along. As we are going over "the same old stuff" for the new people, if you feel board, remember that you were new once and the band did it for you!
Band Rehearsal:
The Rehearsal schedule for any who are not sure is;
6:30pm-7:15pm New Student instruction.
7:15pm-7:45pm Chanter & Pad Practice.
7:45pm-9:00pm Tuning & Full Band Rehearsal.
9:00pm-9:30pm Business Meeting as needed.
If you are assisting in teaching new students from 6:30pm to 7:15pm, please be there promptly as these students are paying for your time and help! And remember, just because you don't have students this week doesn't mean you won't have some next week!
